Job Summary:
Bellows Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer to lead and support quality initiatives across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in quality systems, problem-solving, and regulatory compliance, and be passionate about continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes in alignment with ISO 9001 and AS9100D standards.
- Lead investigations for non-conformances, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Serve as a quality liaison across engineering, production, and supply chain to ensure requirements are understood and integrated into operations.
- Lead or support internal audits and readiness for customer and third-party audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Analyze in-process and final inspection data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate and support risk management activities including FMEA (PFMEA, DFMEA) and control plan development.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and support supplier development initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and control of quality records and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior quality staff and production personnel on quality tools and systems.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce variation and increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100D standards and compliance.
- Experience with quality tools: 8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans.
- Familiarity with calibration systems, GD&T, and metrology equipment.
- Proficiency in quality and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel, QMS systems).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on, collaborative mindset.
